Mad about "21 century" song...
Hello! Can anyone please post me lyrics for "21 century" song? I like it so much because I love Russian language - it sounds so nice... But I don't understand it... :( Okay - please for the lyrics... :) Thanks, -Andrej from Slovenia
She says "I am"...... somthing another several times, and then "good" or somthing like that at another.... My Russian is very bad... hehehhee :) I took one semester of russian and then dropped out, it's pretty different from english. :)
I think the best way to learn it would be to actually go there with a basic knowledge of the language.... :)
Hi Kelly, hehe thanks for your answer... Thanks for helping me understand this song... :) Probably I will really go to Russia once... But not just because PPK and their songs... but... like that - for no reason... Thanks again, and have a great time... :) -Andrej

Heheh, I dont see how I helped you... very little info :)
Hi.. Hehe... joelively's right about the little things :) I shuld ask my question in Russian forum... but I have no idea about all those strange letters :)
tell me about it, iks!!! i would also like to learn russian, just to understand this website completely... but also i cant't handle all the strange letters! *smile* greets from switzerland, if you know, where it is... (it's quite unknown in the great wide world. san
Hi, san... Hehe, since I am form Slovenia, Europe, I know where Switzerland is... :) I also have some swiss-knifes, hehe pretty useful thing :) So we need to find Russian-English dictonary... Because I am sure I will never know what those strange letters are... :) Okay... Greeting from Slovenia... -Andrej

Actually, those letters are pretty easy to read after one semester of learning Russian. Once you memorize how to pronounce them (Which isnt that hard), you can pick up stuff fairly easy. Many of the Russian words sound similar to the English ones, tna the ones that dont can be memorized easily too. It's the correct grammar/correct order of words that makes it hard.
For instance, the "студия" on the Russian page means "Studio". "C" in russian is pronounced like an S, "y", is pronounced like a "u", "д" is similar to "d", "и" is like "ee", "я" = "ya" etc.
With only one semester of Russian, I can already navigate Russian sites O.K..
And Kelly, you must be crazy to learn all those strange letters... and language... Since I am Slovenian, we have some words that are the same in Slovenian and Russian... so I can ubderstand a little without learning... but because of all those letters I understand nothing... :)
But I found this useful function in Altavista's Babel Fish Translator: it can translate from Russian to English... Try it for yourself: babelfish.altavista.com :) It works perfect for me (since I am beginner)...
Okay see you arround folks... bye bye for now... :)

By the way, you notice it keeps saying "By you"? It means "You have?" in english. If a russian asks you if you have a car, they litteraly say "Is there car by you?"
It's like this because russians first lived in little communities called "Mirs" (Like the space station), and everyone shared eveything... none owned an ox or a plow. So instead of saying "Do you own an ox?", they would ask if there was an ox near by that they were using, or "Is there ox by you?".
:)
But uh... dont trust me on that because I was WAY off on everything else :)
I can sorta read it though :)

Heheh, guys, its kinda funny to see all that you write about Russia. Especially when you live here. Heh. Some of your messages include true, but some is very funny. Dont be mad. Its really so.

2 Kelly What do You want to know? Ill tell everything U want. Its pretty kool when ppl r interested n ur motherland.
Kelly 20.03, 21:31
Dude, like most generation Y people in America (Around 14-24 Years old) are interested in Russia. We consider Russia to be cool :) If a Russian foreign exchange student came along, he/she would become popular almost instantly (As long as the person isnt "weird")... same thing with German, Chinese, or Japanese exchange students.
Here's a question: What is the Russian stereotype for Americans? What do Russians think of Americans?
How do I know you're Russian? :)

Hmmm, its interesting questions.
Stereotype... hmmm. I think its a guy/girl with a snowwhite teeth (hollywood smile, heh), maybe not so smart (don't be mad, but usually russian ppl think that it is so), perfet skin, hmmm, I dunno... Every russian have his own thoughts. Really, I dont think have a stereotype of an ordinary american. Sum guys here love US n americans. Sum guys hate. I understand that every nation have their own "good boys" n "bad boys". U cant judge all nation if one guy is dumb. For example, I dont like Bush Jr.(my own opinion, U may have another), even more, I think he is very dumb... But I dont think that U r dumb. I have sum friends in US n they r pretty kool, I think... Stereotype is very shitty think. All dat nazi, skinheads n stuff r exist only cuz of stereotypes... Forget it...
How do U kno? Hmmm. Cant U c that my english (especially grammer) sux. Plus its weird??? Plus I can post sumthin n russian. I can tell U anythin about Russia. hmmm. I can tell bout myself. "I live in the city, called Izhevsk. Its a motherland of an AK (Kalashnikov) rifle. Izhevsks population is about 700000. Its in Udmurt Republic, one of 89 subjects of Russian Federation. Here was born worldwide famous composer Petr Ilyich Tchaikovskiy..." Koroche, zaebalsya dokazyvat' vsyakuyu khuynyu... Blya. Nado, priezhay i ubedis'... That is n russian... How else can I proof that Im russian???
Maybe U wanna kno somethin else??? Ill try 2 help U...
Hello Kelly and TaGG and all others... Hehe I see that a nice chat has started here...
I've been to Germany for some days by now... Hannover - CeBIT, and then I went to Belin to see what's happening over there... I thinks Germany is really cool... I think Russia is great too, but I've never been there... As I said before - I'd REALLY like to go to Russia because all about it looks and seems so pretty great to me...
Okay and what about you two guys? What do you think about small country near Austria and Italy? I live in Slovenia... :)
And what do I think about USA? Well mostly I agree with TaGG, I think that most people from countries all over the world has more or less the same opininon about America... Bush is out of his mind, I have some friends that have been to NY, Washington, Nevada, LA, ... And they said that Americans does not look so smart... But no offence please... :) I love American film industry... And I love lots of things that come from America...
TaGG, please tell me how's about living ona Russian countryside...
Okay have a nice time...

Andrej: Honestly, we dont really have a strong stereotype for Slovanians. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Slovania is "Stone" and "Grey" (Probably way off), but nothing about the people.... except I geuss we dont consider you technically advanced/modernized. We dont hear much about Slavania unless a war is going on near by. Probably not what you wanted to hear :)
I agree with the American StereoType to some extent. Many of us do have "perfect" skin, probably because conditions are better. I for one am almost 20, but when I post images of myself on the net, people say I look like a 15-16 year old harry potter :) As for intelligence, this is a mixed bag. Every country has their fair share of idiots, but in all honesty, a good amount of Americans dont have a clue with what's going on until somthing BIG happends. Most have lots of common sense, but I'm often surprised with how little of a desire there is to learn and keep up with current events. The trend seems to be changing somewhat though. From my own observation, there are 3 main types of intelectual levels in the US: 1. Brainiancs who know many things. Most are interested in high technology or politics. 2. The average joe. Decent acidemically but sometimes lack knowledge on politics and often biology (facts about animals & enviroment). Usually very knowledgeable in 1 or 2 specific areas. Course, there is the "geek" who you run into occassionally (Computer wizzes) 3. The morons. Horrid in school, oblivious to world events & politics. May know an ok amount of facts, but only on worthless things like wrestling and videogame machine specs.
I've had a very unusual upbringing and have had the chance to live in poor, middle class, and upper lower upper class life styles... I have met all these people and have become friends with them all. Course, all of the above is based on my own observations
FYI: The smart ones run the country.
I like the films too, You ever see The Matrix?

2 Andrej. I think most of ppl in here have a good opinion about Slovenia. When someone talk about ur country I often hear something like "brothers-slavonians" n stuff. By the way, nowdays Y'all have a strong football team. Pitty that we wont see Slovenia in Japan&Korea.
Life here is hard... I think. Its still the "poor" country. I mean too poor for a country that includes almost 1/6 part of a planet. But life is not only hard, its also very interesting and extraordinary. As classic said: "You cant understand Russia with brain". We have very difficult and different lifestyle. You know, if You ask more concrete, Ill tell You more. Cuz its just too many aspects of life...
My family have a friends in Germany. I was there few times. And I like it too. I like other countries...
2 Kelly As I said stereotype is very evil and shitty word. I really dont like it... When I see russians in american films I always smile. Cuz everytime its a big man, with a big muscles, almost everytime he connects with mafia... Heh. Its really funny... I like american films too. I like "Requiem For A Dream", "The Godfather 1-3", "Scarface", "Pi", "Fight Club"... Some very dumb comedies, like "Naked Gun"(or something like that), "Dumb and Dumber", "Scary Movie", "Jay And Silent Bob strikes back"... Many more. By the way, I have The Matrix DVD somewhere... As I know, my little brother is a big fan of it.
Guys, do You have your fav actors and actesses? My fav actors are Bruce Willis and Marlon Wayans and actress is Jennifer Love Hewitt...
"Okydoky, ya poshel..."
Ok, buy... See You both later.
Kelly 22.03, 07:03
I dont really have a favorite actor, there are too many :)
I know life is hard there... good indicators is your GNP to landmass ratio and your life expectancy. You have almost 1/6th the land mass on earth, yet Cuba still has a high GNP than you. Your life expectancy is around the early to mid 50's, which is like 20-30 years off of ours. IMO: Our country is a of pigs, it's terribly inaffeciant. We have like 2-5% of the worlds population, but consume 80% of it's resources. It would take 4-5 more planet earths for every county to live at US standards :P
However, Russia is in fact the richest country in the world (My friends are like "What?!", when I say this). You guys have more un-tapped resources than on anyplace on earth. More gold, diamonds, Iron, Copper, and OIL. Underneath Russia sits atleast 2 oilfields as large as the United States - Each!. If you PycckHH's are ever able to stablize and stop taxing the hell out of buisnesses that try to tap these resources, you will become richer than any other country could hope for.
All stereotypes start from some-where and usually contain a little truth. For instance, Asians think we have big noses, which is true, our noses do protrude more than theirs. Westerners think that the Chinese have large families... which isnt true because through most of their history, they havent been able to sustain a large family. But they do live by confucian rules which a big part of it says that people should live and work together like a big family. Many popular asian companies try to keep a family like atmosphere, such as Hyundia.

Yeah, I often hear that Russia is the richest country in the world. And I agree. What can I say if just 1 Tumenskaya oblast' (1 of 89 regions of Russia) have more oil then all arabic countries? But history is difficult thing. Problems that we have now are based on lots of things, like 70 years of "building" fake communism (communism like anarchy is utopia), national character, lots of countries that dont want to see us rich (I wont say their names, You know them) n many more... By the way, do You know, that in year 1913 (Just right before WWI got started) Russia had best rate of economical grows. Then WWI and revoilution happends. Then 70 years of nothing. I can give just 1 example. Its a procces of collectivization. Read about it. Its interesting part of russian history... There is such a book by Mikhail Sholohov (he have Noble Premium for the "Silent Don" book) called "Podnyataya Celina"(I dont know how is it in english). Its telling about it. Interesting. But if You dont want to read dont do it. I dont think that You would ever need it...
There is 1 more stereotype of american... Most of ppl here (+ in Europe) think that americans are fat... Heh... :)
Im orthodox and I think that God will help us (and me personally,[:)])... Like americans say "In God We Trust".
Kelly 23.03, 10:24
Tagg: Actually, I am interested in Russian history as much as the current country itself and took a couple classes about it at my local community college.
The fatness sterotype... is a stereotype of that is ultimately based on a strong truth. Saddly, fatness has reached epidemic proportions here in the US and there is fast growing concern. The life style here has moved from labor intensive to mental intensive, so moving around and burning calories isnt as common as it once was. But probably the most harmful thing is that it is extremely easy do get food here... and the food isnt good. It's almost all fat and sugar. Avoid McDonalds! :)
People are less and less cooking their own food and use microwaves or get food from restaurance & fast food places. Heck, you have to spend time in the market looking for "natural" food that isnt genetically modified.
So yes we are fat. Not all of us, but a greater percentage than almost any other country. In fact, I am overweight. I dont doubt for a second that it's from the fast food and lack of movement (I spend probably 80% of my time in the basement online).

I cant eat in McDonalds. I think it really sux...
Its something like a phobia. I hate it. Before 1998 I loved it. But me and my family went to Germany that year. We eat in 1 of Moscows McDonalds then. We went by the car and I was spewing all Belarus (I think You know, but anyways, its country between Poland and Russia). Now I cant even look on McDonalds food... :)
I dont have nothing against fat peeps. I have lots of fat friends... They are kool. Even more. My brother is fat. Its funny, because Im slim. You wont say that we are brothers if You'd see us together... Also, he have 2 fat bestfriends. They like "3 fats" (do you know that book?)... Its funny :)
hello everyone, My name is Ben i'm 18 and i'm from Brisbane in Australia, i just wanna say that i love trance music, and i just bought the single for ResuRection today, i make trance music on my computer too, and it's pretty good, although i'm sure i'm biased. um, if anyone wants to email me, write to d_kanen@hotmail.com , cause i won't get a chance to come on here much. also i really really love russia, and i tought myself the alphabet, but i will have to relearn it cause i'm forgetting it. TaGG, i like what u said about fat people, i have a friend who was fat, untill he got bulimia (eating disorder), now he's really thin now. ok i can't think of anything else to say. but i really wanna make some new email friends from other countries, who like the same sort of music i do. Bye
02.04, 00:05
Ben, really Im not a big fan of trance, but PPK really rocks. Fat people are people (I mean a human race) too. Most of them are gentle, kind and stuff. But ordinary they have some ptoblems with health (especially with heart). Thats not good. But all that diets are bad too, so its their design to eat that pills or not, I think...
Kelly 02.04, 07:30
Tagg: That's funny, because I'm not really a big fan of trance either. Once in a while, there is a song or 2 that will make my head turn, but most of it is crap IMO :)
I think really good trance is hard to write.
- Kelly
03.04, 23:38
Kelly: Its true, cuz when you making trance or music like that you gotta do not only the song which makes everyone shake their heads, but a song which peeps would like to here again and again. Cuz if it would be just a song for disco and stuff it wouldnt be a song it would be just a sound... Hope You would understand what I ment...
Kelly 04.04, 11:03
To me, the sonic quality and a REALLY good melody original are the 2 hardest things to produce.
- Kelly
07.04, 23:24
Yeah. All the things must be mixed in balance. And its really hard to do...
